A key initiative currently of the NBPA is helping retired players take an active role in their health after their careers. We are implementing health screening programs in select NBA cities with physician specialists to target specific athlete health-related areas. We are able to provide this service free of charge to all former professional basketball players.
Because our health screenings are spread out around the country it allows players to remain close to home, and get care from world renowned experts who can provide continuity of care. This coincides with our initiative to be the first pro sports league to offer our retired players lifetime health insurance.
Upcoming Heart Screenings:
August 18, 2017 Cabo San Lucas (Retired Player Annual Meeting)
